Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Master of Science Degree in International Trade and Development and the Ph.D programme in Trade and Development Finance of University of Port Harcourt for 2015/2016 session.
1. Admission Requirements: The M.Sc Programme
The programme is open to applicants who possess a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Political Science, Finance, Foreign Languages, Accounting, History, Marketing, Management, Geography or related field or have earned a law degree from recognized institutions. Candidates in the trade related industry with at least five years working experience with degrees outside the ones named above can also be considered for admission into the programme. This is a 12 calendar month programme.
2. Admission Requirements: The Ph.D Programme
The Ph.D programme in Trade and Development Finance is open to students who possess the Institute’s M.Sc Degree in International Trade and Development with at least a CGPA of 4.0. Applicants with good M.Sc degrees in Economics, International Finance or International Relations and having not less than a CGPA of 4.0 will also be considered for admission into the programme. The Ph.D will last for a minimum of 24 calendar months and maximum of 60 calendar months.
3 Method of Application

Proceed with the print out from the bank and obtain Application form on line or from the Office of the Director, Bamanga Tukur Institute for International Trade and Development, University of Port Harcourt, East West Road, Port Harcourt, on payment of a non-refundable fee of thirty thousand five hundred naira (N30,500) only which includes bank charges.
4. Deadline for Submission of Completed Application Forms
Completed Application forms, academic transcripts, two reference letters and other relevant documents must be returned to the Director, Bamanga Tukur Institute, University of Port Harcourt not later than 30th October, 2015.
