UNIVERSITY DATA CENTRE PROFILE

Our Mandate:

The Data Centre provides the following services.

1. Reliable and uptime electronic management information systems needed for efficient and effective running of the University;
2. Integrated database management services;
3. Portal services;
4. Software development and help desk services;
5. Data safety and security;
6. Integrity of database so that University data and information are correct and intact.

Our Activities:

Data Centre developed, hosted, deployed and implemented the following upgrade systems and portals.

1. An in-house service-wide Integrated Management Information System (IMIS) platform for efficient and effective running of the University. The platform which offers 24/7 service has two major software upgrade systems, eBursary and eRegistry.

The eBursary software upgrade system is being used by Bursary Department to capture accounting transactions, generate online payment voucher and non-current (fixed) assets register for proper accounting reporting and financial management.

The eRegistry software upgrade module is being used by Registry to capture staff profile, personnel transactions and scanned copies of employment credentials (i.e. birth certification/swore declaration of age, first appointment letter, confirmation letter, educational and professional qualification certificates, promotion letter, passport photograph, etc) for complete staff administration.

There is no doubt that this IMIS platform has further enhanced the activities of the Registry, Bursary and other data generating units in the University;

2. Computation and Disbursement of Earned Allowances (EA) software upgrade system for disbursement of 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd , 4^th and 5^th tranches of EA arrears to beneficiaries;
3. Group Life Policy report software upgrade system for quarterly production of staff group life policy ;
4. Income Tax Analysis software upgrade system for tax audit verification;
5. Employee Data Excel Import upgrade Portal for generation of annual FGN personnel budget estimates;
6. Student statement of result and transcript with passport photograph generation Portal;
7. BVN collection upgrade Portal for staff BVN collection and verification;
8. MDA employee Data collection Portal for staff profile/records update ;
9. UDSS payroll software upgrade system for processing of monthly UDSS staff salary;
10. UISS payroll software upgrade system for processing of monthly UISS staff salary;
11. Africa Centre of Excellence Oilfield Chemicals Research Centre accounting software upgrade for proper accounting reporting and financial management;
12. ASHGROVE payroll software upgrade system for processing of monthly ASHGROVE staff salary;
13. Bank Reconciliation report software upgrade system for online reconciliation of bank account(s)  exercise;
14. Non-Current (Fixed) assets register software upgrade system for capturing and proper accounting reporting and financial management of non-current (fixed) assets;
15. UDSS online staff and students data capturing software upgrade system for staff and students administration;
16. UDSS Students results upload and processing software upgrade system for online students result management.
