Congregation Elects Ogbuji, Toby, Chinwo

Congregation has elected two representatives into Search Team for the appointment of ninth Vice Chancellor of the University. The representatives are Professor Chinedu Ogbuji and Personnel Officer (SPATS), Mr Jones Toby. Congregation also elected Payroll Officer at the Bursary Department, Mr Frank Chinwo as Representative in SPATS (A&PC). The election of the Representatives was the only item for the 72th Extraordinary Meeting of Congregation held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Ebitimi Banigo Auditorium. Addressing Congregation, the Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Stephen Okodudu, stated that the election of Representatives of Congregation into the Search Team was to meet up part of the requirements for the election of a substantive Vice Chancellor in
the University. “We are meeting as Congregation for another steady process aimed at arriving at the full complements of the administration of the University. We are in a unique time having elections back-to-back for the purpose of meeting the requirements for appointment of a new Vice Chancellor and I think this is the last election in the process,” the Acting Vice Chancellor said.
