Dr Felicia Jones Ayuwo, the first female Bursar of the University of Port Harcourt, is from Ataba in Andoni LGA of Rivers State. She is an old girl(1982) of Archdeacon Crowther Memorial Girls' School (ACMGS), Elelenwo.
She holds BSc(RSUST), MBA(UPH) and PhD(UPH) degrees in Accounting.
After the mandatory NYSC year, Felicia worked in Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, Akwa Ibom State and Rivers State Ministry of Works and Transport before joining the services of the University of Port Harcourt in 1993 as Accountant 1.
She has served in various units in the Bursary Department and on many committees of the University, rising through the ranks. Until her appointment as the 7th Bursar, she was a Deputy Bursar in charge of Treasury in the University of Port Harcourt.
Dr Ayuwo is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and an Associate of Chartered Institute of Taxation (CITN).
Felicia Ayuwo is the current Chairman of ICAN PH & District Society having served meritoriously in other positions in the executive committee, over the years.
She is a Christian married to Dr Jones Ayuwo of the Department of Linguistics and Communication Studies of the same University. The marriage is blessed with four children.
