The UPBS is a multi-purpose school of excellence designed to take advantage of the present global academic and industrial demands and to apply recent development techniques in management, engineering, medicine, science, technology, the emerging information “superhighway” and other allied disciplines, in the delivery of training to students. In order to prepare leaders to address today’s complexities and seize new opportunities, the establishment of the University of Port Harcourt Business School became imperative. As a matter of deliberate policy, over 60% of staff is from outside the university system to ensure that the students are equipped with the appropriate knowledge, tools, and relationships necessary to drive results at the highest levels of global business management. The students we seek for the UPBS Executive MBA program are people who are accomplished professionals with depth of experience and a record of leadership. Our students are experts in their fields and some have already earned an advanced degree. In shaping our Executive MBA program, we seek a record of professional and academic achievement in our applicants, along with a self-awareness that demonstrates an intelligence which is imperative in today’s competitive business environment. With this combination of intellectual and interpersonal skills, our Executive MBA students become partners in their educational experience, sharing knowledge and building upon each other's strengths. Post Graduate Diploma and Executive MBA students customize their degree through an intensive general management curriculum and specialization in any of seven areas. Graduates earn either a Post Graduate Diploma or an Executive MBA degree from UPBS.

Students have an option of Weekday classes (Monday and Tuesday or Wednesday and Thursday)
