Advertisements for PGD and Executive MBA admissions normally appear in two Nigerian daily newspapers in the month of April each year.

 

• Method of Application

Candidates may visit any cyber café and access the University of Port Harcourt website (www.uniport.edu.ng) and from there they will access the link to the University of Port Harcourt Business School. A UPBS online application Form appears. Follow the instructions to complete the Application Form. Candidates should also download the Referee Form and Transcript label Form from the portal. Candidates may also collect a paper application form, a Referee Form and a Transcript Label Form from the UPBS and complete these forms.

 

• Payment for Application Form

Candidates should take their completed application form to UBA Plc. They are required to pay an Application Form fee of N20,000 and a N10,000 Aptitude Examination fee into the UPBS account and obtain a teller for the said amount.

 

• Submission of Completed Forms

Completed application forms together with the under-listed documents must be returned to the Secretary UPBS, Plot F/24 B1, Chinua Worlu Drive, off SaniAbacha Road, GRA Phase III, Port Harcourt, not later than the date stipulated in the newspaper advertisement or on the UPBS website.

Photocopies of certificates in duplicates

Payment receipt (bank teller) in respect of fees

Evidence of request of Official Transcript from your university (students should request their university to forward the transcript directly to UPBS)

NYSC discharge/exemption certificate as applicable

 

• Entrance Examination

All candidates for the UPBSPGDprogramme must take an entrance examination specifically designed for the programme and obtain a pass mark in order to be admitted.

All candidates for the Executive or Modular MBA programme must take an entrance examination specifically designed for the programme and obtain a pass mark in order to be admitted. 

 

• Procedure for Admission

The completed application forms, transcripts, and results of the entrance examination shall be sent to the Director, UPBS. The Director UPBS, in consultation with faculty of UPBS, and using the National Universities Commission guidelines for admission into Post Graduate Diploma and Executive MBA programmes shall recommend to the Director the candidates to be admitted to UPBS. The Director shall forward the recommended names to the Secretary of UPBS for letters of admission to UPBS.
