Dr. Andrew Adesola Obafemi graduated from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria with a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Geography in 1988. He also obtained the MSc and Ph.D degrees in Urban Geography in 2002 and 2006 respectively from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Dr. Obafemi also holds the MSc in Cartography (1990) from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Geography & Environmental Management at the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He was Acting Head, Department of Geography and Environmental Management, University of Port Harcourt (2008-2010) and the Editorial Chair of the Nigerian Cartography Association, Rivers State Chapter.  Dr Obafemi is also a special consultant in GPS Tracking, GIS and Mapping, serves as, map editor and reviewer to reputable journals, and has co-edited national conference proceedings regularly published by Nigeria Cartographic Association.
