Professor Samuel Bankole Arokoyu Graduated from the University of University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, B.Sc(Edu) Hons, (1983) and PhD (2002) in Geography and Environmental Management. He is currently the Director, Centre for Disaster Risk Management & Development Studies (CDRMDS) and Coordinator Postgraduate Program, Department of Geography and Environmental Management, University of Port Harcourt. He was Acting Head, Department of Geography and Environmental Management, University of Port Harcourt (2005 -2007), Member, School of Graduate Studies Board, University of Port Harcourt (2006 – 2008) and currently Post graduate external examiner in several universities including Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt and the University of Calabar.
