University of Port Harcourt Selected as First in the South for TETFUND Medical Simulation Centre
The University of Port Harcourt has achieved a groundbreaking milestone as the first institution in the southern region selected by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) for the establishment of a cutting-edge Medical Simulation Centre.
In line with this initiative, a high-profile delegation from TETFUND, including Professors Galadanchi and Uche, as well as Mr. Nsiril, visited the university to evaluate its existing infrastructure and identify gaps for improvement.
The team was warmly received by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), who, alongside other senior university officers, conducted a comprehensive tour of the facilities. The evaluation aimed to assess the readiness of the university to host this state-of-the-art medical simulation project, which is poised to enhance the training and capacity of medical professionals in the region.
This selection further underscores the University of Port Harcourt’s reputation as a center of excellence in academic and professional development. The Medical Simulation Centre, once established, will serve as a vital resource for advancing medical education and research, not only for the university but for the entire southern region.
Stay tuned for updates on this transformative project!
