Dr. Hilda Eno Obi

Dr. Hilda Eno Obi is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Library and Information Science, Faculty of Education, University of Port Harcourt. She rose from a Librarian in training in 2006 to a senior Lecturer in 2023 through diligence, hard work and conscious self- discipline. She holds a Ph.D in Library and Information Science (2021) from the University of Uyo, MLS in Library Science (2010) from the University of Uyo and a B.Sc. Finance and Banking (1999) from the University of Port Harcourt. Dr. Obi is a certified Librarian in Nigeria (CLN), from the Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN), a member of the Nigerian Library Association, a member of the Association of Women Librarians in Nigeria (AWLIN), a member of National Association of Library and Information Science Educators (NALISE), a member of European Centre for Research Training and Development, UK and a member of Uniport Women Association (UPWA). She has published 29 Articles and Book Chapters on emerging trends in Librarianship in both International and National Journals and Textbooks, including Conference Proceedings and has also attended about 22 conferences and workshops. She has also supervised several undergraduate Dissertations. She has served as an Uploading Officer in the Department. She is currently serving as the Exams Officer, Departmental SIWES Coordinator, Course Adviser, Member, Departmental Graduate Studies Committee and Member, Departmental CCMAS Committee. She enjoys reading, listening to music and presentations, swimming, travelling, catering and home interior designing. She is happily married to Mr. Francis Onyemeachi Obi. The marriage is blessed with a child.
Egbo, Samuel Oghenerukevwe

Mr. Egbo, Samuel Oghenerukevwe, is a distinguished academic and lecturer in the Department of Library
and Information Science, Faculty of Education, at the University of Port Harcourt. A native of Delta State,
Mr. Egbo is a committed scholar focused on advancing knowledge and fostering innovation in
library and information science.
With a passion for academic excellence, he equips students with critical skills in information management, digital literacy, and the application of emerging technologies in library services. His teaching and research address contemporary challenges, preparing students for dynamic professional roles.
Mr. Egbo is known for his professionalism and forward-thinking approach. He advocates for integrating technology into education to enhance access, efficiency, and user satisfaction in information services. Actively engaging in academic discourse and collaboration, he contributes significantly to the advancement of library and information science in Nigeria and beyond.

Professor Susan N. Umeozor

Professor Susan N. Umeozor was the former University Librarian, University of Port Harcourt. She has B. A. (Cum Laude), North Carolina State University, Raleigh, USA; MLS, North Carolina Central University, Durham, USA; PGDE, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, and a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from the University of Uyo, Nigeria.
In 1992, Prof. Susan Umeozor was employed in the University of Port Harcourt as an academic librarian in Donald E. U. Ekong library. She served in various capacities including the Head, Readers and Acquisition services divisions of the library. In 2016, she became the University Librarian, University of Port Harcourt (2016—2020), and in 2024, she was elevated to the ranks of a professor
Prof. Susan Umeozor has served in several University committees. She attended management training in Galilee Intrenational Management Institute (Isreal) for ‘Managing University Libraries for Online Education’ and many other national and international conferences and workshops. Prof. Susan Umeozor is a chartered librarian with Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN). She has published widely and is happily married with children.
