DR ADAH, RICHARD UDO

Adah, Richard Udo holds a Ph.D degree in the Department of Political and Administrative Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Port Harcourt, with specialty in development studies.

He also obtained his first and second degrees in the same University, making him a ‘traditional student’ of the unique University, University of Port Harcourt. As a lover of humanity, with the zeal to build a strong and sustainable society for mankind. Adah, Richard was appointed as a Choba extension Mayor in 2009. Due to his attitude in providing good governance, peace, justice, united and better society, he was awarded Ambassador for Peace, by Young Youth Network for good leadership in Nigeria. On the 12th of August, 2013. An award that distinguished him from other leaders in our society. He is also a facilitator/project supervisor in National Open University of Nigeria. He has written more than thirty articles to his credit. Which earned him the position of a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Political and Administrative Studies, University of Port Harcourt. He has participated in several conferences, and held several positions and a member of various committees, both within and outside the University.


Dr. Gospel Nukoaka Lebari

Dr. Gospel Nukoaka Lebari
B. Sc, M.Sc, Ph.D (UPH)

Gospel Nukoaka Lebari is a lecturer in the Department of Political and Administrative Studies. He earned his Ph.D in Political Science (specialising in Development Studies) from the University of Port Harcourt, where his research focused on the Political Economy of Climate Change and Food Security in the Niger Delta.

His research interests lie in environmental politics, elections and election management, Africa’s indigenous knowledge systems and their impact on sustainable development, particularly within the context of Nigeria’s resource-rich Niger Delta. His growing body of work explores how political and ecological dynamics and contradictions shape governance, community resilience, and resource management.

Being passionate about bridging the gap between academia and policy, Dr. Lebari advocates for evidence-based approaches to address the challenges of environmental degradation and political instability. He is dedicated to mentoring young scholars and fostering critical thinking on contemporary political issues.

With a commitment to advancing sustainable development, Dr. Lebari aspires to contribute significantly to both academic discourse and practical solutions, ensuring his works contribute to  policy innovation and transformative governance in Africa.


Onyeukwu, Uchechukwu

Onyeukwu, Uchechukwu received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Political Theory and Methodology from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria in 2009 and 2016 respectively. In 2013, he joined the University of Port Harcourt as an Assistant Lecturer and is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Political and Administrative Studies. He teaches undergraduate and post-graduate courses, and has supervised many projects, dissertations and theses. He coordinates the Doctoral Seminar and Proposal defence of the Department of Political and Administrative Studies. He has served in many committees, and is presently a member of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control Committee of the Department of Political and Administrative Studies and the Ethical Orientation Committee of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Dr Onyeukwu is a member of the Nigeria Political Science Association, and has published numerous papers in reputable national and international journals.


Dr. Justice Ewelie

Dr. Justice Ewelie is a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Political and Administrative Studies. He thereafter proceeded to enrolling for a post-graduate degree where he bagged a Masters and a Doctorate degree in International Relations all from the University of Port Harcourt.

He joined the services of the University of Port Harcourt in 2011 as a young administrator where he grew through the ranks to the position of Principal Assistant Registrar.

In 2024, his appointment was regularized as a Lecturer at the Department of Political Science and Administrative Studies with core specialty in International Relations. He is a member of the National Political Science Association (NPSA), member, Association of Nigerian Universities Professional Administrators (ANUPA) and a Manaaki Scholar, New Zealand.

He has several academic publications in both local and international journals and has served in several university wide committees.

Professor Timothy Ubelejit Nte holds a PhD degree in the Department of Political and Administrative Studies, University of Port Harcourt (2011), with specialty in International Relations. He also obtained his first and second degrees from the University of Port Harcourt (Uniport). He is currently a Professor of International Relations, in the Department of Political and Administrative Studies, Uniport (October 2023-TD) Professor T. U. Nte was a Lecturer in the Department of Political Science, Federal University Wukari, Taraba State (Sep 2012 – Apr 2013); Senior Coordinator for Procedures and Training in the Quality Control Department of Ascot West Africa (2008-2011); Inspector (Contract Staff) in the Quality Control Department of Shell Petroleum Development Company (2006-2008); Senior Coordinator for Procedures and Training in the Quality Control Department of Willbros Nigeria Limited (1995-2006); and Tutor of Government and Social Studies in Bereton College Port Harcourt (1991-1993). Dr. Timothy Nte has more than 50 international and local publications (books and articles). In Uniport, Professor Nte was the Ag.HOD of Political and Administrative Studies; Ag. Coordinator of Public Administration; External Examiner, Department of Political Science, University of Nigeria, Nsukka; Managing Editor, Faculty of Social Sciences Journal.


Ms. WILLIAMS, WINNIE CHETA

Williams, Winnie Cheta graduated from Babcock University, Nigeria, with a B.Sc in International Law and Diplomacy. She is currently a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Social Science, University of Port Harcourt. Williams is a promising academic with a keen interest in international law and diplomacy, actively contributing to the development of research and teaching in her department.
