The Governing Council of the University of Port Harcourt has approved the appointment of Prof. Princewill Chike as the 10th Vice-Chancellor of the University.
The appointment follows a rigorous selection process which commenced with interested candidates and progressed through a formal evaluation process conducted by the Governing Council.
The final stage of the exercise included a formal interview conducted by the Governing Council. Following the conclusion of the interview process, the Governing Council has formally issued the letter of appointment to the new Vice-Chancellor.
With this development, Professor Chike assumes leadership of the University of Port Harcourt for the statutory tenure, taking on the responsibility of providing academic and administrative direction for the institution.
