Ayobami Sunday Ogunbode is an academic, forestry and agricultural professional, researcher, and administrator with a strong interest in environmental sustainability, forest ecology, biodiversity conservation, soil science, and agroforestry. He is affiliated with the University of Port Harcourt, where he is actively involved in academic research and professional activities within the Faculty of Agriculture and the Arboretum Unit.
His research interests cut across forest ecology, carbon storage, biodiversity assessment, soil microbial ecology, climate change, ethnobotany, and the sustainable management and conservation of forest resources. His current academic work focuses particularly on the ecological assessment and carbon storage potentials of protected and unprotected forests, as well as the effects of environmental changes on forest and soil ecosystems.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Ayobami is actively involved in staff welfare, administrative coordination, and community-oriented activities. He demonstrates a strong commitment to professional development, effective leadership, teamwork, and the advancement of sustainable agriculture and forestry practices in Nigeria.
He is also passionate about family, mentorship, service, and continuous learning, and continues to combine his academic, professional, and leadership responsibilities in pursuit of meaningful contributions to society.
