ENEONWO COSMAS IFEDILICHI

Brief Biography

Dr Cosmas Ifedilichi Eneonwo holds three Degrees of the University of Port Harcourt: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Geography & Environmental Management; Master of Science (M.Sc) in Logistics & Transport Studies and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Logistics and Transport Studies.

He began his professional practice as a member of the Marketing and Logistics team of Intafact Beverages (an arm of International Breweries). He joined the University of Port Harcourt in 2013 as an Assistant Transport Officer, promoted in 2017 to Transport Officer, again promoted in 2020 to Principal Transport Officer, and then to Assistant Chief Transport Officer (2023). He is currently the University of Port Harcourt Transport Officer and Head of the University's Transport Unit.  He holds adjunct appointments as a lecturer with the University of Port Harcourt Centre for Logistics and Transport Studies (CELTRAS) and the Centre for Disaster Risks Management and Development Studies (CDRMDS).

Dr Eneonwo has served (and in some cases, still serving) the University of Port Harcourt in various capacities. He was the Hall Warden of the Intercontinental Bank Post-Graduate Students' Hostel, Chairman of the Protocol Committee of the 33th Convocation, Chairman, Transport Committee of the 34th Convocation, Chairman Transport Committee of the 35th Convocation and Chairman, Transport Committee of the 36th Convocation. He is the Chairman of the Task Force on Enforcement of Minimum Operating Standards on the Campus Shuttle. He was an elected member of the Housing Committee (a Governing Council Committee) where he represented the Congregation. Currently, he is serving as an elected Representative of the Congregation in the Appointments and Promotions Committee of the Senior Professional, Administrative and Technical Staff ( A&PC, SPATS)- a Committee of the Governing Council. He is a member of the Governing Council's Board of Surveys. He serves as the Financial Secretary of Izu Umunna (a think-tank; union of the intelligentsia of Igbo origin in the  University of Port Harcourt). 

Dr Eneonwo is a researcher with interest in logistics and transportation studies. Some of his research works are published in impact factor journals.
