A consultant Family Physician with a special interest in Palliative Care Medicine. A senior lecturer with the Department of Family Medicine, University of Port-Harcourt(UPH). The pioneer and current Head of the Department of Family Medicine, UPH. A fellow and an examiner of the West African College of Physicians. The pioneer and current head of the palliative care unit at, the University of Port-Harcourt, Teaching Hospital. She lectures Palliative care at the School of Social Work and Occupational Therapy. She has a fellowship in palliative care medicine and is currently pursuing an MSc in Medical Education. A member of the Hospice and Palliative Care Association of Nigeria (HPCAN), African Palliative Care Association (APCA), African Cancer Coalition (ACC) and American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM). Dr Ndukwu has publications in both local and international journals. Her passion is to see patients with cancer live quality lives till the end and to reduce the burden of this illness on the family.
