Ogheneruona (Ruona) Diemuodeke is a Professor of Energy and Thermofluids Systems in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Empowering the Teachers (MIT-ETT), with an MIT Kaufman Teaching Certificate. His research interests span thermofluids, renewable and clean energy technology, energy demand forecasting, deep decarbonisation, clean city and environmental sustainability, with major outputs in energy policy, off-grid electricity, clean cooking and cooling, and low- and zero-emission energy conversion systems. He is a Lead Author for the Working Group III contribution to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Sixth Assessment Report (AR6), and a Coordinating Lead Author for Chapter 9 (Energy Systems) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Seventh Assessment Report (AR7). He is a recipient of numerous research grants; he is currently the Director of the Energy Technology Institute at the University of Port Harcourt. Furthermore, he is a member of the Editorial Board of the prestigious Journals of Energy and Climate Change (Elsevier) and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Transition (Elsevier).
