Research Interest:
I seek to provide solutions to some of the environmental issues that are of public health concern. Investigate activities in the environment that could lead to Multi-Antibiotic Resistance of Bacteria, the role of pollutants in exacerbating bacterial resistance to antibiotics. Bioremediation of polluted environment using microorganisms and the use of microorganisms to convert waste to useful and ecofriendly products.

DR. AKOMAH-ABADAIKE, ONYINYECHI NDIMELE is a female researcher and lecturer in the University of Port Harcourt, School of Science Laboratory Technology, Microbiology Technology Option. Dr. Onyinyechi area of Specialization is Microbiology/Environmental Microbiology and Bioremediation. Her research area is anaerobic bioremediation. Special interest in profiling Sulphate reducing bacteria (SRB) isolated from crude oil contaminated anoxic site also profiling and lyophilizing Trichoderma sp : a Biocontrol agent of microbial rot of post-harvest yam tubers. Nigeria Awardee, Academy of Science Travel Grant 2022, Awardee International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Partial Training Grant 2022. Coordinator Microbiology Technology, Science Laboratory Technology University of Port Harcourt 2022 still date, ARIFA FARA Scholar 2023. Institutional Base Research awardee 2024. DR Akomah-Abadaike love research, written more than twenty-three articles in peer review journals and believe its findings can be employed to solve problems plaguing the ecosystem.

MY LITTLE STORY: I am from Aleto community in Eleme local government area of Rivers State. I completed my bachelor’s degree in science laboratory technology at the Federal University of Port Harcourt in Rivers State. I would describe myself as loyal, trustworthy, self-motivated, and dependable.
HOBBIES: reading and meditating. I sometimes play football which helps to keep my brain and body sound.
