Dr Enighe Wananyo Ugboma is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Radiology at the University of Port Harcourt. She holds an MBBS from the University of Port Harcourt and is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS). Additionally, she serves as an Honorary Consultant Radiologist at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital. Dr Ugboma has enhanced her expertise with an MSc in Medical Education (UPH) and an MSc in Health & Medical Simulation from the University of Hertfordshire, UK.

Passionate about education, Dr Ugboma is dedicated to shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. She lectures clinical medical and dental students on various radiology topics, incorporating hands-on learning through practical sessions. As a committed mentor, she guides and supervises resident doctors, overseeing their research projects. She has successfully supervised several dissertations for fellowship awards and served as an examiner for the West African College of Surgeons’ fellowship examinations.

Her research contributions include numerous peer-reviewed publications in prestigious medical journals, focusing on diagnostic radiology and medical education. Dr Ugboma’s leadership in the department has led to significant improvements in radiological services and facilities. She also actively engages in community outreach, providing free medical services to disadvantaged and under-served populations.
