Blessing Odogwu from Nigeria is a lecturer at the University of Port Harcourt and holds a PhD from Makerere University in Uganda. She has received scholarships from RUFORUM Network and Carnegie Corporation of New York, as well as the AWARD Fellowships, the Norman Borlaug LEAP fellowship, and the Nuffic OKP scholarship to attend a course at Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation.
