Reseach:
1. Phytoremediation Vast polluted Agricultural land and aquatic environment in the Nigerian Niger Delta and the remediation gap has elicited this research on an environmentally friendly clean – up approach. The research aims to investigate, characterize and attempt remediation of crude oil – polluted sites.
Ongoing Research: A Baseline in situ and ex situ studies on crude oil polluted sites B Phytoextraction of heavy metals and hydrocarbons from contaminated sites C Biological interrelationships and synergistic approach at such remediation
Publications of completed research works can be found in International Journal of Phytoremediation, Bioremediation, Bulletin of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, Research Journal in Engineering and Applied Sciences African Journal of Plant Science, African Journal of Environmental Science and Technology, Annals of Biological Research, and Archives of Applied Science Research.
2. Phytomedicine Research The demanding need for more and improved novel drugs and natural spices is essential given the global trend in health technologies. This study seeks to understand the chemical constituents, temperature – induced behaviour, possible toxicities and effects on certain body processes. Ongoig Research: A Heat – induced influences on some food quality B The effects of some orthodox and local herbs on some Biochemical parameters C Safety evaluations on common receptors
Publications of completed research works can be found in International Journal of Clinical Pharmacology & Toxicology, Journal of Biological and Food Science Research, American Journal of Environmental Engineering, Annals of Biological Research, and Journal of Applied Science and Environmental Management.
3 Water quality Assessment The incessant environmental (water) pollution in the Niger Delta from organic and inorganic sources has been alarmingly increasing in the recent years and assess to pipe borne water especially in the rural and operational areas. Potability rating and classification has therefore become inevitable in this regard for a well informed planning and delivery.
Ongoing Research: A Effluent characterization and impact of the recipient medium B Suitability Assessment Of Some Water Bodies In The Niger Delta Region
Publications of completed research works can be found in Research Journal in Engineering and Applied Sciences, Journal of Environmental and Analytical Toxicology, Journal of Applied Science and Environmental Management, andInternational Journal of Bioscience. |
