L. Major Contribution to Learning
The focus of my research has been the role of universities in the transformation of the individual and the society. In relation to the Sub-Saharan region and Nigeria in particular, the need to produce world- class individuals who can take the region to global heights has constantly been highlighted. In highlighting the effects of globalisation on education in the Sub-Saharan region, an area that has attracted the interest of many researchers, the need to reposition the entire region so that the two-way globalisation flow of teachers, students, technology, ideas, values etc would be a reality. The need for Africa to catch up with other continents is being underscored. In relation to community service, the researcher has contributed to raising world- class men and women who go out to other continents to compete favourably with people from other parts of the world. Locally one has contributed in raising people who positively impact their environment. For instance one has supervised seven PhD and Fourteen ME.d students. Books and Learned Journals have been documented, some of which are sought and acknowledged internationally.
