In her speech before handing over the items to the Management of the School on Friday, October 30, 2020, representative of the Class, Mrs Elizabeth Odum, stated their commitment to the growth of the school which had impacted positively on them. “It gladdens my heart to see that you are overjoyed with this little token. UDSS is still my school and it will be a thing of joy to see our school progress. We will continue to do the little we can as our contribution to the growth of the School,” Mrs Odum said, advising the Management of the School to ensure that students make good use of the item. Responding, the Principal, Mr Fidelis Weleria commended the Class for the donation. He conveyed t h e g r a t i t u d e o f Management of the School to other members of the Class for the donation which he described as very timely. “My administration has been benefiting immensely from former students and that assists to make my work very easy. The donation is a very big relief to us. In March this year before we shut down, we had applied for additional 300 desks. Before we resumed, we got 50 desks from Class '88 and now from your Class. Kindly convey our appreciation to other members of your Class,” the Principal said. He pledged to ensure that the items were used judiciously.
