Doctoral Candidate Donates To LCS

A Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Linguistics and Communication Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Appah Kelvin Suoyo, has donated a brand-new Acer Projector to assist the Department in PowerPoint presentations for academic purposes.

Speaking before he presented the item to the Head of the Department, Professor Aniefiok Udoudo, in his office, on Monday, July 19, 2021, Mr Suoyo disclosed that he made the donation to end the regime of manual presentation during Departmental Seminar series.

Receiving the Acer Projector, Professor Udoudo, expressed appreciation to the donor, noting that the item would be critical to the effective delivery of research component of the mandate of the University. “We are happy with this donation and this gesture will add in making your name visible in the history of the Department. Don’t be tired of supporting us. This is your Department,” the Head of Department told the donor.

In his remark, Coordinator of the Departmental Graduate Studies Committee, Dr Clement Asadu, stated that the projector would be fully unveiled in the next Departmental Seminar. Former Head of the Department, Professor Christie Omego also showered praises on the donor.
