In keeping with the established tradition of an annual Registry Day, the Registrar, Dr. Gloria Chinda, has constituted a 9-member Committee to plan the 2022 Registry Day celebration.

The Committee which is headed by the Faculty Officer of the Faculty of Law, Mrs. Mammy Otonnah, was charged to organise the 11th Registry Day on a tentative date of November 30, 2022.

Charging members of the Committee to work out appropriate modalities for the celebration including honouring newly-retired Registry staff, the Registrar, while inaugurating the Committee on Friday, October 14, 2022, expressed gratitude to the members for accepting to serve the University.

“I am grateful that you accepted to serve on the Committee for the 11th Registry Day. I challenge you to make the day a memorable one with your innovations since we have decided to celebrate this year's edition on a low key due to the challenges posed by the prolonged industrial action embarked upon by Unions in the University,” Dr. Chinda said.

In her acceptance speech, Mrs. Otonnah, thanked the Registrar for finding them worthy to serve the Registry. She stated that they would do all that is within their mandate to organise a successful Registry Day.

Other members of the Committee are Messrs Lucky Oriji, ThankGod Chinda, Fynface Azubuike, Mrs. Chika Igwe, Mrs. Caroline Kevin, Dr. Justice Ewelie, while Mrs. Queen Wali would serve as Secretary.
